I have a dream too

As we celebrate the life and legacy of Dr Martin Luther King Jr today, I reflect back on that historic speech delivered on the steps of the Lincoln Memorial and think about how far we’ve come.  Sadly enough, not that far.  To echo the words of Dr King, I have a dream too.  That same dream. 

I believe that our elected officials need to be judged by the content of their character.  Especially those that are morally bankrupt.  And I can no longer sit idly by while the idea of life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness are just words on a piece of paper.

We must realize that our destinies are tied to one another.  No one can be considered free until we all are free.  So, I ask you to join me now as I fight to weed out the corrupted individuals and take the power back for, we the people. 

And that starts with my Congressman who continually wastes taxpayer dollars while focusing on raising money for the CHC Bold PAC, the 3rd largest political action committee in our country, and only serving his big money donors.

So, I fight.

I fight so that every individual is off the streets and has a place that they can call home.  Putting in place national rent control and creating affordable housing is a start.

I fight for the lives of those individuals that cannot afford prescription drugs or to even go to the doctor in the first place.

I fight for tuition free college and trade schools, so everyone has an opportunity for a higher education while eradicating the current student loans and free our youth from this generational debt.

I fight for my children and all children as they should no longer live in fear of being gunned down while they are at school.    

I fight for mother earth.  Our planet is dying, and we must act now.

I fight for equality for all.  Whether it’s basic human rights, gender equality, the rights of our LGBT+ community or our Dreamers.
